The server was good. The cool for our orders wrong. They charged us the wrong amount and then refunded my money to my mom's account.
I ordered the chicken tender dinner platter. Since the appetizer comes with 3 I incorrectly assumed the PLATTER would come with 5 since it doesn't specify menu. What the waitress brought out l, however, looked like overcooked popcorn chicken. I sent it back, and got 4 tenders that literally looked like Wal-Mart deli food.
These are home town people who know how to treat the people who come in their restaurant. The food is cooked perfectly, just like you would see on a menu. The staff treats you like you are family. They believe in making sure everything is right or they will get it done right. I have never found a Huddle House or any fast food restaurant like this in my life. This is undoubtedly the standard everyone needs to be set by.
My mother sat without a refill multiple times, had to ask repeatedly for a soft drink after starting with a water.
I ordered chili cheese fries as an appetizer, got them AFTER the meals and after we were halfway done. I'm guessing they forgot. When it arrived the fries were cold and the cheese wasn't melted.
TERRIBLE VISIT
I was excited, not gonna lie. I've been to huddle house many times over the years and usually it's a decent visit. We were greeted pleasantly, sat where we wanted without a wait and promptly received our drinks. That, however, is where the good times stop rolling.

For a small Diner it stays packed because the service and food is always fresh and good
I have always had great food and service at this restaurant. Always a clean place to dine. My last visit was a lunch date with my wife and mother and they also enjoyed their meals. I did try a new temporary menu item the beef steak tips with brown gravy completely loaded bake potato with whole yellow corn. The main meal items where excellent, however the corn was a disappointment. It had no favor what so ever. I could not put enough salt on it to make it even begin to taste good. The others items were great and of a large amount so I filled up on them and did not eat the corn. The prices were very reasonable and the service was great, so a five star ratings is warranted.
